Do you know about the Aussie Naturopath Barbara O’Neill? She’s amazing and she has many videos on YouTube. Highly recommend you check her out if you haven’t already. Very spiritually grounded with a keen sense of humor.
Here’s a video about Cayenne Pepper. Aside from its many healing & blood circulatory properties, it ENCHANCES THE ACTION OF OTHER HERBS!
Why not? In tea or pill form it sounds great. Not sure about tincture form though.
In tincture form, when making your glycerin tincture you want to add apple cider vinegar when making the tincture for the acid soluble phytochemical compounds. You add water for the water soluble phytochemical compounds too. Tinctures are highly absorbable as they go straight in to your blood especially if you leave the tincture under your tongue for a prolonged period. The blood vessels under your tongue absorbs the tincture immediately in to the blood stream. The longer you leave it there under your tongue, the more medicine gets in to your blood stream.
I have a post on how I make my CC tincture if you are interested:
Yes, I quickly went through it and intend to go back and re-read.
But I thought from the little research I did some time back that tinctures could be made from or with grain alcohol. Is this correct? Is there some reason you use the glycerin for your tinctures? I was unaware Glycerin could be potentially harmful to the liver. That’s why I’m wondering if grain alcohol would be a better substitute. Your thoughts?
Ah! I see the first paragraph in your article about making Cat’s Claw says right off the bat that alcohol destroys certain compounds, so I got my answer. Thank you!
Thank you for your kind thoughtfulness. Yes I know of her. I love to listen to her videos. She did a video on Activated Charcoal which I believe will absorb the Spike Proteins and carry them out of the body. A Charcoal has it's down side as it will absorb the good with the bad. Best to keep the good in the body. There must be a little juggling of time when nutrition is consumed and absorbed by the body before taking charcoal.
I am impressed! You are then only person I know of who knows about Cayenne Pepper's enhancing absorption abilities. I think it is old school herbalism because I do not see any thing on CP enhancing herbal absorption any more. I have an old herb book I use all the time. It does mention about Cayenne being an herb enhancer and helpful with absorption too.
I tell people who want to take herbs in pill form to add a little cayenne pepper for absorption as heat is what releases the plant phytocompounds in to your blood stream. It also acts as a 'carrier' with herbs that need help passing through barriers such as the blood-brain barrier.
Good comment. I have to go. I'll answer your other comment when I have some time this afternoon. We have a small farm in the PNW. I need to go let the guinea fowl out and then make lunch for hungry hubby.
Hi 👋 Geneva, read in a more recent post that you can’t comment anymore! Terrible! Would love to speak or text you directly if you’re willing? Ph 210-204-1467. If you send brief text acknowledgment will then forward my email. Hope to hear from you. 🌺 😊

Could probably take a little bit of CP with the CC don’t you think?

😊 There are tinctures made with honey too. It depends on what you are brewing.
